Brace Face: Molds for Revision Phase

Yesterday I had to go in and get my molds/impressions done for the next phase. I do not enjoy this process.

This time was a little different, as we had to do it twice. The first time (for top and bottom) my teeth were shoved into the molds and I sat there, with my dentist's hands all up in my mouth, for 4-6 minutes while they set. It was uncomfortable, but obviously didn't hurt. Just imagine having a retainer full of clay shoved onto your teeth and then someone's hand pressing it. For five minutes. Which is forever in that circumstance.

After that, we had to do it again, only this time it was only for like two minutes. After we were done and I was getting ready to leave, I stole a peek at the molds and I do not understand how anyone can tell anything from them. But whatever, that's not my job.

As we were saying goodbye, I told my dentist I am really hoping they don't come back with a million more trays. She said she really didn't think it would be that many. I don't know if she was just telling me what I want to hear, but I'm really banking on that statement.

It will be another 3-4 weeks before my trays come in, so I am enjoying a button-free, gum chewing life right now!
