I like to pretend my weekends start on Thursday night, so I kicked off the holiday with a Stir Cove show. We got to see the opener, but then a hail storm ripped through Council Bluffs and we didn't get to see the headliner, Aaron Lewis. But any night with these clowns is a good time, so it was still a blast.
I miss them all so much. But let's not get into that.
|That's beef jerky handing out of his mouth. That kid smashed a whole bag during the two days I was with him.|
We boated, ate good food, made s'mores, fished, got caught up and I walked a million steps back and forth to the bathroom. It was a lovely few days.
Monday I headed back to Omaha, got my life back together and watched a TON of House of Cards. I needed a rest day.
Tuesday I finished House of Cards, meal prepped, grocery shopped, did laundry, ran, and then met up with Missy and Ryan to go to my mom's for a 4th of July BBQ. My family was on their best behavior, which I greatly appreciated.
